inaugural "hammond" posting (again!)

        Hello, it's me again...

Weel, my first attempt to start the hammond mailing list flew
into the nearest hillside. But with the generous help of Bradley Baker
I've done more complete outside access testing the this time. As near
as I can tell, the hammond interest list is now ready for general
postings (fingers crossed).

To send mail to all the folks on the list, simply address your
mail to:

        hammond@zk3.dec.com

This is a slight change from the address I posted before so be
sure you correct any mail aliases you set up previous to now. I tried
to set things up so that when you do a "reply" to this message, your
mailer will insert the distribution list address into the "To:" field,
rather than the name of the person who sent the message.

So far there are 21 of us on the mailing list. The only
guildline I propose for list use is that whatever we discuss be related
to the Hammond sound, at least tangentally. My purpose in starting and
maintaining this list is to have a an informal forum through which
people who love the Hammond sound can share information, views, reviews,
advice, references, opinions, etc. Also, I really must insist that all
list members treat each other with respect and consideration always.

Let's start things off by each of us introducing ourselves to
the list. Include your best e-mail contact info, listing the gear you
play, describing any special interests you have, and what your own
expertise is (presuming that you're willing to answer occasional
questions in that area).
