[Date Prev][Date Next][Thread Prev][Thread Next][Date Index][Thread Index] Hi !
Hi ! my name is Mike Sues and I'm a Hammond enthusiast ... currently I'm playing a Korg BX-3 through a Leslie 145 though next year when I have more room I'm going to buy an A-100, but keep the BX-3 for gigging, etc. (I love the Hammond sounds but hate the weight !) My love of the Hammond came from listening to hours and hours of Rick Wakeman and Keith Emerson with small forays into the world of blues. In fact, even though I also have a couple of synths (X3 and Wavestation EX), whenever I jam with the guys I always go for the organ sound. I came across an article from a British mag (Music Technology I think) which described all of the different models of Hammonds, features, dates of production, etc. which I can paraphrase and post to the group as a FAQ-type thing if people are interested. I know this is an introduction but I have one question ... I just recently bought my Leslie 145 (after using a Leslie 16, Brianizer, Leslie 415 (transistor) but not all at once !) and have heard of people installing cross-overs in their Leslies ... did not the stock Leslie's (122, 147, 145) have cross-overs built in to divide the sound between the two speakers ? Maybe someone could post something FAQ-like for Leslies ! Thanks for setting up the list Mark ! TTYL -- Mike <ap748@freenet.carleton.ca> "For the world is hollow and I have touched the sky !"
