I spoke with Michael Smokowicz at Trek about this conversion and here
are his comments:
On the CV you will end up with percussion on the upper manual B preset
only ala B-3. The percussion circuit will give you slider control of
2nd, 3rd, and 5th harmonics. The CV (and BV) has one caveat with it.
Due to the nature of the amplifier's design, the percusson signal will
be routed through the vibrato circuit. This is not the case with the
B-3.
As to minimal-nil skill/background... that's not an easy call. Any
competent elec. tech should be able to do it though. Calling Michael
and asking him may be the best bet (setq buck-pass-mode-on t). His
number is 908-214-9200 or FAX at 908-214-9257.
