[Date Prev][Date Next][Thread Prev][Thread Next][Date Index][Thread Index] Voce V3, H Vibrato Scanners
Boy, Dave Amels has opened up a can of worms here...! He mentioned re: the Voce V3 that the sound is "generator" derived and features a *detuning* feature with regards to the temperment of the instrument. Dave, could you explain the tuning/temperment properties of the Hammond. Is this tuning/temperment situation a byproduct of tonewheel generation, or are the wheels just pitched differently? Is the original pitch scale just slightly "just"? BTW, a demo tape for the V3 IMHO is a super idea. Also...I'm having vibrato scanner problems myself. My local tech agrees that oil has leaked into the unit. But...he said that it can be cleaned with naptha (among other things) and it should be good for a couple of years. Repair or replace?
