[Date Prev][Date Next][Thread Prev][Thread Next][Date Index][Thread Index] Spin kudos & Micro B question
Hi Dave! Thanks again for all the attention you and Al gave to getting that Spin unit out to me a couple of weekas ago. I've been tracking with it in the studio, and it sounds GREAT! There was only one problem that came up. Beacuse the Spin has the frequency response curve of the Leslie (nice job, BTW), the release "thump" when the percussion is switched on was _really_ noticable. The engineer was complaining that it was the most prominent component of the sound. I have an early Micro B, and I know the Micro B II lets you switch this off, but is there a way on my unit to either A) make it a tad less prominent by, say, resisitor substitution or B) switch it, by adding my own switch? Also, the request I made to you on the phone for boosting the percussion level is now moot. It seems that the lack of "zing" I was hearing was due to the peculiar inadequacies of my live monitor speakers. Let me know about that release "thump", though. Thanks in advance. PZ
