[Date Prev][Date Next][Thread Prev][Thread Next][Date Index][Thread Index] Re: Leslie Drivers
I bought a treble driver from GOFF over xmas to replace the blown Jensen in my 145 (home Leslie). The other driver i use is an EV-1824M (gig Leslie). The stock 145 with GOFF treble driver sounds GREAT. I thought the gig Leslie sounded great until i heard the new driver in the 145. Now i don't think it sounds so great. In its defense (?), it's powered by a Marshall 50 output stage, 8 ohm tap, PV Black Widow bass driver. After hearing the 145 i want to convert it to 16 ohm and go with GOFF's driver and some distorting 15-inch driver like, say, a Celestion of some type. The GOFF driver is brighter than the 1824M. They say it is a 60 Watt driver made by Atlas. Regards, Bradley Baker bpb@mlb.cca.rockwell.com
