My 145 randomly pops when switching from fast to slow and vice versa.
A conversion to the balanced amplifier type of hi-Z relay switching
*should* fix this. The replacement relay kit for the balanced
amplifier lists for $44.82. It does not require the use of the 12AU7A
relay tube. Those relays haven't been available for some time now and
this kit implements a replacement that doesn't require this tube. Thus
to convert an un-balanced amplifier to a balanced amplifier will
require one of these relays kits and other small parts.
Has anyone actually done this conversion?
