Re: Question

I had the opportunity to try an XB-5 when they came out. It was very
tempting...here was a 2-manual clone with pedals that weighed in at about
70 pounds...it would certainly fit in the back of my Toyota...But again, it
was the price issue. Even with my frequent
flyer discount at my local store, it came in at $ 7000. Upon closer
inspection of the display unit, the bench seemed to be coming apart at
the dovetail joints. For a moment I thought of a Victor Borge thing
happening to me. The sound...well...naked w/o the Leslie was a bit
unacceptable...through the new 122, a bit more passible. One note
though, there is only 1 set of drawbars per keyboard...I'm used to 2 and
toggling between them.

I would be curious to know, perhaps from the Goff consortium, if
Hammond-Sazookie followed a rom upgrade path for the XB-5 as they did for
the XB-2.

I am patiently waiting (read: my road crew) to audition the Voce V3.
What's the ETA Dave?
