[Date Prev][Date Next][Thread Prev][Thread Next][Date Index][Thread Index] David - your T-200, Leslie, etc.
Answers (my opinions) to your questions:
1. <T-200> Get it if it costs you nothing. At the very least, it's
barter material for later if it works. It's a tonewheel generator organ
with drawbars, plus built-in small Leslie. Call Mom and arrange to get it...
2a. <keyboard> If it is working, and VERY cheap ($25), get it. Your kids
will love it. You should not expect wonderous things from these transactions.
Don't get mad when it gets broken or if it fails. These things happen.
2b. <Leslie> First, find out EXACTLY what model it is. Then, to use it
with any keyboard or module, you will need a pedal preamp to accept a 1/4"
input. Make sure you have the Leslie cable with the Leslie. (as info - new
combo-pedal preamp - $299. from us, accepts most Leslie's)
If you want to use the 145 or any other Leslie on your T-200, you'll probably
need a special kit. Some later T-models (T-500) were prewired to accept a
Leslie 710, or other 9-pin Leslie. The kits are available for your T-200,
but these costs add up!
As always, my advice is to check this stuff out CAREFULLY before you spend
any $$$. I get many letters from people who have spent big money on
worthless things. Decide what you want before you go out looking. DO NOT
buy on impulse, or because the "cabinet is nice".
Let us know what you decide......GOOD-LUCK!
