With the passage of time and the addition of some new subscribers, I thought this might be thw time to ask an old question that has remained largely unresolved. My Leslie 145 makes an irritating *snap* in the audio signal when I change speeds especially from low to high speed. Additionally there is the electro-mechanical click of the relay. In live settings with the guitar player's Fender Twin beside me I can't say it makes any difference. But at home or for studio stuff, the situation is a little different. I would appreciate any advice on how this problem might be rectified. Short of converting to a 122 amp (and changing my Hammond 1147 XB2 preamp to and 1122 - *gasp*), are there other solutions? In an ideal world I'd like to replace the relay with something solid state and clean up both the audio and electro-mechanical noise. Any further ideas other than what was talked about when this surfaced a few months ago? Al, does your shop have some wizardry to get at this besides the complete rebuild to 122 specs? Thanks!
