[Date Prev][Date Next][Thread Prev][Thread Next][Date Index][Thread Index] T222 distortion
Greetings fellow Hammond people, In the course of restoring my T222, a minor problem still remains. There is some noticeable distortion in higher frequencies when played on either manual. The distortion occurs only when more than one key is played near the upper end of either manual (typically anything from beyond C above middle C) This is only noticeable if an interval or chord is played. This does not occur if only a single note is played. I have seen discussion here about a "crosstalk" phenomenon. Is that what I'm hearing or do I have an honest to goodness problem here? This distortion is very noticeable with a string or flute drawbar registration (predominately higher frequencies). Before I drug this thing home I had absolutely no familiarity with the guts of a Hammond (not that I know much more now). Is there anybody out there who could point me in the right direction?
