Re: RE: HAMMOND check-out pro...

Marshall- thanks for the add-on. Great tip which I simply forgot! Tough to
edit these posts without lots of retyping......

I buy organs and Leslie's the same way everybody else does.

BUT - I walk away from more than 75% of them due to condition, wrong models
from what was advertised, mouse nests from floor to ceiling (your nose always
knows), or just gut feeling.

That is the most important feeling you'll ever have. How many people KNEW
they shouldn't do something (marriage, car, job, etc), but did it anyway? I
never argue anymore with my gut feeling or "inner voice". I've finally
learned my lesson after that damned H-300 I bought in '86 for $1500. I do
not believe a bigger piece of crap could possibly be purchased. I sunk $300
in parts and days in labor fixing the thing for resale. It worked but never
sounded the way I wanted.

SO... I gave to another good friend and HAMMOND tech (Mike Torsone in
Poughkeepsie, one HELL of a good player who sings!) who gave it to his
friend. I hope it dies a horrible death.
