I have it on good authority that Ben "Jacobs" wrote:

what's the lame riff got to do with it? <g>

back in my ancient history i played sax in a blues band. this band had
a one handed a-100 player, er, that is, he had two hands but only
played with his right hand. his left hand was reserved for:
1) curling beer cans.
2) smoking cigs.
3) gesturing to waitresses to bring him more of 1) and 2).
4) slapping a hand's worth of white keys to get that popping sound.
5) flipping the leslie switch.
he used that leslie switch alot. clearly, he could have used a foot
operated switch to serious advantage to free his left hand for other,
more important duties.
