Hzirbes- MANY of our customers report that they prefer the 147 with the XB-2 due to it being inherently brighter. They use the bass/treble controls of the XB-2 to better simulate a B-3 sound. Some use in-line equalization to "tweak" the XB-2 tone and chorus to VERY closely simulate a B-3. I personally have no preference, but my bands are very vocal in their preferences both ways depending upon their style of play. The 122 is much quieter than a 147 for recording and stage use, no question about it. Al Goff
