Re: Used Leslie purchase.. good deal??

Thanks for the Leslie Check Lists. I am going to check out the 900 tonight
or tomorrow. I will let you know what I find.

For my organ sounds I currently use a TS-10 playing samples (mostly from
Rubber Chicken Software, not bad sounding), and an EMU Vintage Keys Plus.
Overall the sounds are adequate for "gigging". However, it drives me crazy
because I know it just isn't right. I play into a Peavey KB-300 for
monitor and ambient sound (We mostly play smaller clubs), I also put a
small stereo signal into the PA to get some spread.

After talking to a lot of people, I think I will go for the new VOCE V3.
 - I have hear the SPIN and like the sound.
 - I have located a few people who have heard it and were most impressed.
 - I like the VOCE products. I had their original unit and liked it
(Selling it was stupid.) While the Micro B was off the mark, I thought the
Micro B II sounded pretty good.
 - And I am impressed with the units architecture. It seems like the
   "right" way to do it
 - One more point, I have had good relations with the VOCE folks and they
have always been enthusiastic and helpful.
(I will send a full report when I get the unit.)

Others I have considered:
 - The Peavey was okay, but there was something in the sound that left me
cold. I tried it with several amp setups (both mono and stereo) with the
   same result.
 - The OB-3 was the same. I liked the drawbars, but it was off the mark to
   my ears.
 - The XB2 was out because I don't want to add another keyboard to my rig.
(This also ruled out the CX-3 and Roland/Rhodes boards I located.)
