i watched greg allman and co on "house of blues" the other night on the tube. located behind his b3 was a goff 122. it appeared to be raised up about a half a meter or so and was placed about one meter behind him and arranged in the stock position, that is, the back was pointed toward the rear of the stage and not toward the enem^h^h^h^haudience. i was curious about this rather non-traditional placement - no mics were visible to the front (though the back could have been mic'd). he was apparently using the leslie itself for his stage sound. this the sort of arrangement i seem to prefer though, when the thing really gets cranked up it's too close without ear protection. does anyone (al) know if mr. allman uses this arrangement typically or was this done just for the tv presentation? brad baker bpb@cca.rockwell.com
