Leslie horn adaptor kits allows the replacement of ageing OEM drivers with
*any* standard threaded compression driver using 1 3/8" threaded throat,
such as the Atlas PD-60, University Sound 1824S, etc.. Many of the
original drivers used in the Leslie cabinets are now failing, and suffer
from buzzing, distortion, etc. Factory replacement drivers are expensive,
and don't allow the choice of impedance matching to situations where the
original tube amp ( 16 ohm) has been replaced w/ a more powerful solid
state amp, typically requiring a 8 ohm driver.
Adaptor plate is machined aluminum, and includes all hardware to mount the
driver of your choice to your existing Leslie. It is easy to install, and
can be returned to "stock" just as easily. Adaptor plate requires
original Horn bushing assembly be in place, and mounts to the casting
which the OEM driver is currently screwed into. Works with Leslie
model(s) 122, 147, 145, 251, and more.
