Re: No trip; preamp tweaker

In response to my advice that Wim needed a technician, and that several of us
would be HAPPY to fly up there to help him... Brad wrote---

>>leastwise get a shop manual. it's really a fun read.<<

Brad--- my expense-paid vacation-- GONE!

Wim - reconsider the on-site service possibility. A service manual can't
tell bad jokes.....

Brad also provided some good info on the preamp drive trimmer setting. The
service manual spec was written for a
"nice-not-so-loud-nothing-could-ever-go-wrong" use of the organ. I have
NEVER met an organist who could accept this criteria.

Well...maybe once.... a local woman has played organ in local churches for
almost 50 years. She uses presets, does not play pedals or believe in loud
music. We replaced her HAMMOND model BC in her home in 1965 with a B-3 and a
Leslie 122, and set the volume at "3". The percussion, vibrato and drawbars
have still NEVER been used. This one I'm waiting to buy back.
