Re: for sale A-100

        Reply to: RE>for sale A-100

According to the shop manual, the A-100 is made of "red mohagany." I just had
my chopped B-3 transplanted into one of these cases.
It is simply beautiful. But then it depends on what you plan to use the organ
for. If it's for home-use in a living room
environment the A-100 is perfect as you don't need to leave room for a Leslie (
A-100 has it's own sound system w 3-12" speakers.)

That's probably why the ad doesn't mention a Leslie. If you plan to haul the
organ around to gigs, the A-100 is much heavier than a
B-3 because of the complete built in sound system. Plus you would probably
still want a Leslie for projecting sound and it's
effect. So what it's worth to you depends on your purpose. $2500 sounds a
little high but then how often do you see one for sale
in your area and how badly do you have to have it? If you were buying a brand
new one in the mid-60's, that would be a great
price.

Now I'm trying to figure out how to incorporate a Pro-3 with my A-100 sound
system for that perfect
compact-living-room-screaming-Hammond/Leslie-sound.
