Voce V3 Field report

I used my Voce V3 at a gig this weekend and here are a few impressions.

(Environment - Medium size club, 400 people. We used ambient sound
(nothing through the board). I used a Peavy KB100 (Aaaaaaargh.....), our
roadie "forgot" my Barbetta. I fed the V3 from an Ensoniq TS-10. All
setups were done quicky before the gig.)

I love this module. It sounds like a B3. (For the purists, I would prefer
a B3, but it isn't practical.) I had a couple friends in the crowd and
they both came up to ask about the organ sounds. I play country/rock and
it works well for that. One of my friends (a jazz/standards player) put it
through it paces during a break. He also thought it was excellent. I went
to the back of the room, and it did sound like a B3. (Note: from that
distance the leslie sounded better. Aided by room accoustics.)

Down side:

 - The volume always goes to max when a program is changed. I will have to
see it I can fix that in programming.

 - Keyclick was too loud. It seemed to be set at a fixed volume which made it
obnoxious at lower volumes. Again, I will have to dig into the manual.

 - The default Leslie setups sound great in stereo, but didn't work well
in mono. I was able to set a global Leslie (Mono 122) that sounded better.
I will need to "play"more with the Leslie setttings.

 - The LCD Readout is hard to read. It lacks adjustment.

Overall, it think this is a great unit.
