[Date Prev][Date Next][Thread Prev][Thread Next][Date Index][Thread Index] PRO-3 questions answered
AL, Mark, Will;
Sounds like you guys had a ball, I'm looking forward to the details
of your testing. I may not be able to answer many question until after 7/20,
do to Nasville NAMM preperation. We will be in booth 537 and Dave (VOCE) has
agreed to bring a V3 and drawbars for us to use. (Great chance to try these
units together!)
Mark, the base AM modulation was a tough call. I set it to
match my 147 with the back off and measurements made at about 6 feet. Try the
left output, the FM shift is negative (rotor moving away) and seems to
subdue the AM a bit. A mix of the left and right (use a 50k pot run the
center tap to your amp) can also soften the AM.
The rails on PRO-3's shipped after 7/95 will be moved two
inches further apart, It seems they don't quite straddle a KB300 Peavey
either.
The rails are bradded and glued to the bottom with carpenters glue.
A quick sharp rap to the side will break them loose but usually takes a bit
of wood from the bottom. (Bondo time)
I don't know if you have recieved the horn acceleration kit yet,
I sent it to Al 7/6- Some users really like the horn speed up/down times
longer.
Hammond Suzuki was kind enough to send us an XB2 service manual.
I am currenty evaluating the 11 pin output to see what can be used to control
the PRO-3. I'll keep you posted.
Time to start packing
