I too balked at the price initially, but I really think the Hammond pedal is
worth the investment. I believe it actually lists for around $170 USD, which
is insane, but I think if you shop around (I got mine mail order through
Thoroughbred Music for $110) you can get it closer to the $100 range.
Personally speakng though, it feels much better, and is more realistic for
the above mentioned reasons than a regular guitar-type volume pedal, which I
also used for awhile. Go for it.
