more on aol.com problems

        The problems with AOL mail delivery have been traced to the mail 
routing complex inside Digital Equipment Corp.  Apparently the problem does 
not exist with AOL, but is a problem here at DEC.  This issue is being 
actively worked and we hope for resolution sometime today.

        People on AOL were able to send mail to DEC last night (an 
improvement) so their mail went out to the rest of us, but since mail from DEC 
to AOL is still down, they aren't seeing list postings yet.  I have re-added 
AOL people to the hammond list, which will cause the list postings for AOL to 
backup, but when the blockage in our mail system is cleared, the AOL people 
should get all the backed up postings.

        I'll announce when they are all back with us.
