Only thing is >there is absolutely no overdrive, the overdrive is bypassed or something.<< You are not crazy! As I said before on this board, the 860 is a GREAT Leslie, with factory JBL drivers. It is one of the most requested, and most expensive Leslie's in the used market. Your overdrive function through the wheel on the XB-2 has to be initiated in the software. Make sure is is not "OFF". What version software do you have? Take the cover off the XB-2 and look on the two large chips against the back wall of the keyboard. They will have stickers with a software version number on them. >By the way, as a pair, the proline 860 with the XB-2 running into its combo >preamp petal is as loud, portable and uncompromising as I've come across. > But go into your programs in the XB-2 and TURN OFF THE LESLIE SIMULATOR. > Yaaooww!!! Much better....<< Couldn't have said it better. EVERY keyboard should have any effects turned off when used with a Leslie. >>I have a combo preamp petal for my Leslie 145, it sounds much sweeter and >warmer than the solid state 860, but all that wood. I tend to keep it at >home next to mama A100.<< You're going to make people cry with that. Tube amps have always delivered the best sound. You're a lucky man to have them both. On some of my pro organs, I wire them to handle several models of Leslie's simultaneously. Al |
