[Date Prev][Date Next][Thread Prev][Thread Next][Date Index][Thread Index] B3000 mods
I have a B3000 and Leslie 715 combination and I am surprised to hear so little about the model. The B3000 doesn't even have an entry in the FAQ. Were there relatively few produced compared to tonewheel models? For a 1970's effort at mimicking a tonewheel organ in transistors and early digital chips, I think it actually has a rather thick and traditional sound to it. Just looking at the effort that went into producing a realistic key click (there's a separate circuit board inside just to make the clicks) makes me believe that it's not such a bad model. Ok, I know that it'll never sound as good as a B3, and in an ideal world I would have a B3 and a B3000 (in that order), but it does have a few nice features that are not found on tonewheel models. Anyway, does anyone know of useful modifications to the B3000 or 715 that could enhance their sound or functionality? I have a service manual, schematics and a soldering iron and I'm not afraid to use them :-) Thanks in advance Ian Fulcher 888000000 (as well)
