Larry Johnson writes >All the dealers told me they wished they could find a way to get all their >B3s and Leslies to Europe - they could get at least $12,000 for each B3, >regardless of condition if they could just get them thru customs, etc. You're being bull****ted. Very few *B*-3s' made their way over here, so yes, they do make high-ish prices. But not regardless of condition. There are several dealers here in the UK who will sell you a C-3 in good condition for between US$2000 and US$3000. A-100's between $1500 and $2500. $500 flat for any decent Leslie (145/147). I can name you three dealers who will each offer you a choice, today, at those prices. At least one had a good B-3 a few weeks ago and wanted about $5000. On private sales, A's and C's seem to change hands for around $1000 to $1500. [Dealers have to pay VAT at 17.5%] And there's nothing remotely difficult about importing used organs from the US to Europe (yes, I've done it). By the way -- what's a HAMMOND Dolphin? A local dealer has one, but says I wouldn't be interested in it, even though it's a tonewheel organ ... Russ
