Restoring lettering on tabs

Al writes in his excellent post:

The painted lettering on several of the rocker switches and tabs on my T222
have worn off probably due to wear and tear over the years (maybe improper
cleaning too).  Has anyone discovered a fool-proof and easy method of
restoring the lettering?
