Hammond chorus (C1/2/3) and Leslie can be found on a zillion Hammond
recordings. Vibrato (V1/2/3) is used much less. My guess is it's just
a new sound to your ears and you're not used to it. A similar thing
happened to me a while back. I always used C2 or C3 chorus when playing
tonewheel Hammonds (B3/C3) through Leslies. Then I switched to using a
Korg CX3 for a long time, which has no chorus. It took a little while to
get used to, but I did. However, when I sold the CX3 in favor of an XB2,
I was so used to the chorus-less sound by then that using it with a Leslie
sounded weird. But after a short time my ears became accustomed to the
sound again and now I almost never play with the chorus off.

Listen closely to virtually any jazz or most rock Hammond recordings.
That's the sound!
