About 2 years ago I threw out the entire solid state works for a beat up (extrnally only as it turns out)Leslie 740 (I think) and powered it with an external amp and put a couple of relays on the motors controlled by a footswitch, it sounded like crap...Now I have have an A100 and a beautiful 710 (same electronics almost) that does not work for lack of a couple of replacement reed switches. When I realized what a stupid thing I had done I felt, and still feel, like a complete ass____, I would have had a box of spare electronic components. I think maybe early solid state stuff may be harder to find than the tube replacements. Name witheld to protect the idiotic....
