In my experience, it has been spelled "Kludge". I believe I've
seen it spelled "Kluge" as well.
By the way, I don't think there's anything wrong with a kludge
if it does the job, and works reliably.

Interesting. I've been looking at my CV manual and trying to
decide on the best approach for a Percussion Circuit add-on. My
options include a clone of the perc circuit from an M-100 and
a solid-state circuit based on an analog-synthesizer Envelope
Generator and VCA. (Yes, I know I can buy one from Trek-II, but
then I'd miss all of the fun of designing and debugging it)
Can you tell us any more about how this percussion sounded?
Was it a good "Chuffy and Spitty" sound, or a baaaaad one?
Although it would be a novel modification, I don't think I'll
chop my CV (and use pipes for the legs :^). My wife bugs me
enough about having a CV in our living room without it looking
like an Ostrich!
