While we're on the subject of Leslie miking and all that, here's another question. In jazz, blues, or rock recordings, is it popular to use multiple Leslies? The advantage being additional complexity of sound bouncing off walls, etc. from different angles & spacings. Additionally, you could set one to fast spin and one to slow, and mix them at different volumes as desired. Or overdrive one and mix it in a certain way. Obviously, the possibilities here are limitless, but are there a couple of common or popular ways that organists employ multiple Leslies in recordings? The Hammond sound is so rich & complex, I often thought there was more going on than just one organ and one speaker. But perhaps I was wrong.
