In a message dated 96-02-01 00:37:26 EST, you write: >If the techs eliminated all of the other stuff-- grounds, loose screws >on the generator cover, shielded wires touching the drawbars, loose screws on >the recorder panel, etc., I suggest you look at how the reverb is mounted in >the organ. Is it on the left side or the right? If it's on the right move >it to the left as far away from the matching Xformer as possible. > >Some organs are a bitch to fix and problem isolation / fixing is worse. >The reason you hear the crosstalk is due to the fresh filter caps and >brighter upper driver. When the original brightness of the organ returned, >the crosstalk problem became evident. It was there before you added the new >parts, but it wasn't evident. Not uncommon, Tom. Don't give up though. > We'll help! > >Al > > Al - I have no doubts that the rebuild is allowing me to hear crosstalk that was present for a long time. The reverb is on the right side near the matching transformers. I will re-locate the unit this weekend. In spite of this problem with crosstalk, I could NOT be happier with the Leslie since it's been rebuilt. A crisp and bright screamer. I played a A-100 with stock Leslie yesterday at a local music store. It reminded me of the mushy, dull sound I use to own. You and Dave have always been very, very helpful and again, I thank you.
