Hi Alex. Have you considered hooking up a power attenuator between the output section of the amp and the speakers? I use these on my guitar amps and they sound great. I have a Scholtz Power Soak and an Altair PW5. I believe that neither of them are still in production, but you should be able to find one used. There is also the THX Hot Plate. This is an upscale version that came out recently, I think. Word of warning: I have been told that these things can be rough on tubes, although I have never had a problem myself. I figure that I am willing to pay the expense of changing the tubes more often. However, in 15 years, with the amps cranked to 10 most of the time, none of my tubes have worn out prematurely. Good luck, Pat Styles (pstyles@msn.com) ---------- From: owner-hammond@zk3.dec.com on behalf of Alex Stagg Sent: Friday, February 02, 1996 10:58 AM To: hammond@zk3.dec.com Subject: lowering B3/leslie volume? Is it possible to lower the volume coming from the lesie but still keep the great overdriven sound? Other tubes? Bias readjustment? We want the sound but the stage volume is too loud, and we already mic the cabinet for the PA. -------- Alex Stagg, Microware Systems Corporation alexs@microware.com - 515/224-1929
