I'm only 25 yet and I don't want to lose my auditory acuity. My > uncle played guitar in bands for years and has suffered substantial hearing > loss. I love to spin 'em loud and proud like Steve does, but I wear 'plugs > Yeah I know. I used to go to bed at night after playing in a small club, with visions of an open E guitar chord dancin' and ringin' in my ears. Dangerous. I heard a rumor that Jeff Beck is nearly completely deaf and in constant pain from that affliction. I would* never* shoot a round of Sporting Clays without foam plugs, and I always wear them at soundcheck. Although I don't always wear them during a show. I can't wait till our band goes to Future Sonics in-ear monitors! Spinnin'em Loud(carefully)and Proud in Nashville, Steve Cox
