Seen lots of stuff about the Leslie 760 'n' if it's got cloth or louvres. The European imported 760 definitely does have a vinyl covered cabinet with grille cloth. It looks like a road-version Leslie (sounds like it too - forget warm, smooth tones and full throated screaming). Some early ones had wood bass-rotor drums, later examples had expanded polistyrene drums (instant starters/choralers). Bass speakers were originally 8 ohms though a few of the last imports had 4 ohms 15"ers. The wood cabinet some of you are probably thinking about was the 770. Same as the 122/147 in almost every way except for the harsh-sounding transistor amps (2). Hope this helps. Keith The OrganGrinder <burberry@wfp.org>
