[Date Prev][Date Next][Thread Prev][Thread Next][Date Index][Thread Index] X-66 tab keys
question / message a few weeks ago - and to those who now must
suffer through (I think) a repeat. Our local "access provider's"
system went crazy and refused all E-mail for the past two weeks. I
recently changed access providers - so now I can get E-mail again.
As I noted in my last message, (which I'm not sure it even made it
here!) I had finally gotten up enough nerve to work on my X-66. It
had many many small things not quite working - and I got loose with
some tools and a can of "Deoxit" contact cleaner. Amazing - the beast
_is_ a real Hammond after all!.. turns out about half of the bass was
never reaching the 15" amp/speaker due to intermittant contacts in the
sforzando relay. Many missing notes / partials etc. are now restored
- and the organ sounds pretty good!
The problem: while working on said organ, I had the control panel in
it's "up" position. I noticed it was starting to fall back over onto
the console - instinctively (and stupidly!) I grabbed for it -
catching only two percussion tabs - which of course snapped right off.
Does anyone know where I might find replacement tabs for the XYLOPHONE
& GLOKEN-SPIEL (sort of a dark tan color)????? I guess I could try
and glue them - but I have a feeling I'd be much better off replacing
them - even though the manual shows this to be a fairly hard task....
Thanks for any/all help!!!!
{and again, I appologize for bringing this around again--
Blasted computers!!!!}
regards
