The 760 is in fact made of wood, as are the 900 series etc.  Perhaps Leslie
used reject wood cases for 760's.  I know that some organ manufacturers used
reject cases for ebony and white and gold consoles.

Can it be possible that covering a wood box with tolex changes it tonally?
