Ad in the Grayson County Shopper: Far sale Hammonds electric organ with bench 903-465-2620 I called and the elderly owner said he had bought brand new for his daughter when she was little but didn't know what year. He had no idea what model it was but said it has two rows of keys and when I asked if it had reverse color keys at the bottom, he said he thought so. I went to check it out and it is an L-112 with the cabinet and bench in perfect condition. Everything works including perc., reverb, and chorus/vibrato. Many of the tones are intermittent, however. By listening for them one by one, I was eventually able to hear each one. After a few minutes, the tone generator began to squeal and I told him it probably needed oiling. He brought out a can of Hammond oil and I proceded to do this for him. The squeal went away. He had all the original paperwork which said it was delivered some time in '65 (the FAQ needs updating). He would probably let it go for $200. Knowing what I know from this list, I would have bought it if I didn't already have a near mint-condition M3. I guess I'll continue looking for that dream deal on a Hammond console organ. Ken Williams
