Ah yes... the Farfisa.... I am curious how many people on this list started their playing careers like me on one of those little Farfisa Compact Deluxe's.... I loved that stupid knee lever where you could add that fuzz to your heart's content... I was inspired to buy a Farfisa after hearing Country Joe and the Fish... I quickly found that the sound was very limited, especially after hearing such Hammond forces as Steppenwolf and Vanilla Fudge... Somehow the old Farfisa could not match up.. I remember watching the Today show at 7AM one morning. Hugh Downs introduced the Vanilla Fudge.. THey blew out the NBC studio that morning with a very loud rendition of Keep Me Hanging On... You could actually see the crew and the anchors covering their ears... Very funny. Anyway, that was the first time that I saw a B-3, and I know that I had to have one... So my little Farfisa was relegated to Smoke on the Water duty... Thanks for the memory...
