Jon Lord

Ian -

Just got "Purpendicular" and am -so far- pretty pleased. You're absolutely right
about the 'Rosa Cantina' tune. I was listening to it for the first time in my
car. When Jon started his hacking at the keyboard I sat right up and yelled
"Alright Johnny!"

I must say that I wish he would do as Al Goff has said. You know, the stock
Hammond and Leslie 122 setup is still the best, warmest -and potentially- the
meanest sound going! Jon's setup is too thin and overdriven in my opinion. As I
stated before, I think his best recorded sound was back in the 'Hush" days. THAT
was a straight C-3/122 rig! But, don't get me wrong, I STILL really enjoy Jon's
work!

By the way, How would I go about finding one of those live videos you mentioned?
