More anecdotal evidence to recommend the 2.0 firmware upgrade in the
XB-2 is found in an earlier posting regarding this problem. I found
one from Dennis Cronin in which he stated that this problem was less
evident after he installed the version 2.0 firmware upgrade. He
couldn't explain why the firmware upgrade would improve this except
that it altered the vibrato/chorus characteristic with which the beats
seem to have some interaction.
