Screaming C3

Hi All,

This is a note to all of you that are trying to get their assorted and
sundry mix of drivers, X-overs and Leslie amps to sound "right".
I have them all, been there -- done it-- with super-duper Gauss drivers,
60 lbs JBL's and hybrid 16/8 ohm coils.

I just loaded up 2 new replacement drivers and my original X-over with an
original Leslie 40 watt amplifier never rebuilt.
One full chord (csus9th+C bass)...............
and I was blown off the bench. I looked at my amp and it was on 7 or so
so I jacked it. Blew me over the top. I could now hear all the other work
I put into the Hammond such as TG caps & Line Vibrato Caps with Scanner
rebuild. It was just as if the Leslie Cab made a big "sigh" of relief.
The bass, mids & terble were all balance, minimal click and "BALLSY".

I still have another Leslie amp getting a rebuild and I have even more
to look forward to. I highly recommend that hard earned money gets spent
on the "right" things besides trying to retro-fit things that just don't
belong in the design.

If I could say one thing about the list is "listen to the pros" they have
been there -- done it -- long before I ever did.

Thanks a Million Al Goff
Paul
