The Roto-Vibe I had in the 70's was not really a pedal effect. It had a volume-pedal like controller for speed changes, but 90% of the unit was in a flat 12" x 8" x 2" (approx.) box that set on top of your amp, with knobs and switches on it. The "Roto-Vibe" name probably came from the fact that the unit had a rocker switch on it to select either rotary effect (kind of phaser like) or vibrato (very convincing at fast speeds, very non-linear and bizarre at slower ones). I don't think it was made by Traynor, though. I seem to remember Univox, but I'm not sure. I bought it from a catalog -- somebody like Sears or JC Penney, believe it or not! -BW
