Well i sure hope so too... but i told him to keep using the tubes as long as
they worked well. Hope he read that well :-)

Yeah, and that keeps the repair engineers working :-)
I am from the transistor/IC generation, and i know something about tubes
because i had to learn about them for a radio amateur exam. Never really
worked with tubes myself except for repairing old tube radio's and guitar
amplifiers...
