[Date Prev][Date Next][Thread Prev][Thread Next][Date Index][Thread Index] squeaky M101
First of all, please excuse my "laymen's" terms... I am new to the hammond organ scene, but am genuinely excited about learning and playing my newly acquired spinet model M101!! When I first received it (as a surprise gift), I turned it on and there was a terrible "low-pitched-squeaking" or "whirlling" noise eminating from behind the cabinet. I had read about oiling the organ and been informed that it hadn't been oiled or played in quite a few years (at least 5-10). I ordered Hammond oil and proceeded as directed (a few drops in each of the cups over the scanner (is that what it is called?). Immediately the problem was solved. No noise. Now, approximately a week later, the noise is back. I do not want to oil it again, having read all of the warnings about over-oiling. Can anyone help me? I would greatly appreciate any input about this. Thanks!! Vince Ryan vryan0371@aol.com
