Hi Hammond List,
(Hi Al...)
The author of this E-mail would like to apologize in advance to all
Hammond Organ owners, restorers, technicians, dealers, affectionados,
and other concerned parties who are bothered by the rough treatment of
Hammond spinet organs, specifically the L-100 and L-101 models, by some
performers during the course of their obligatory show encores, which
can be considered as a kind of performance "trademark" and therefore
are difficult to avoid due to the intangible nature of fan
appreciation.
For the rest of you, I would like to advertise the fact that Will
Alexander (Keith Emerson's manager and engineer) has called me to let
me know that he is looking for a Hammond L-100 (or its functional
equivalent) to purchase for use by Keith, possibly on the upcoming
Tull/ELP tour (Ian's leg permitting). I told him that since he made
off with my L-100 on the last tour, the best I could do would be to
pass the request on to the Hammond mail list.
He said it would be best if the L-100 were in working order but not in
cosmetically perfect shape - he said that it would be a shame to ding
up a mint-condition machine.
Please don't hurt me,
- Gene
