Re: The organ murderer

Keith, in conjunction with his brilliant keyboard / MIDI tech, Will
Alexander, has tried, modified, exploited and improved virtually anything
that remotely resembles a HAMMOND sound. After I rebuilt and modified his
"Pictures at an Exhibition" C-3 with Velocity MIDI, Will tied it into 22
keyboards and a Yamaha Sampling Grand piano for the Black Moon Tour in 1991.
Will also custom designed and constructed a fiber optic cable, noise-free
network to handle all of the MIDI, audio and control information from this
massive rig! Keith was able to play the YAMAHA grand with expression from the
HAMMOND, plus layer as many sounds and effects as he wished.

Keith still PREFERS to play the C-3, but he uses keyboards & modules often.
He has mastered the new technology with Will's help, along with his
excellent Moog tech Gene Stopp.

His new tour (with Jethro Tull) will probably not allow for him to carry
either one of his C-3's. But you will hear some great HAMMOND sounds being
played. But fear not, the original "Pictures" C-3 and his
soon-to-be-completed "Tarkus" C-3 will be regular
members of his arsenal. Who knows what new music he will write with the
best of the old and the best of the new.....

(Todd -- Keith only used the XB-2 for the first four bars of one song for
percussion boost in conjunction with the C-3. After the "Pictures" C-3 was
done, he turned up the percussion booster on the C-3 and doubled it up with
XB-2 for even more effect.)
