But the animation motor in my X-66 is a syncronous motor (as is the tone generator) - neither has a start motor. The tone generator motor is VERY large, runs at 3600 RPM, and has TONS of torque - brings the tone wheels to speed in about a half second.... The animation motor (drives the tripple scanner assy) is not as big - but it also gets to speed very fast. regards randy
