Re: Unsubscribe Hammond

        As Theo has correctly pointed out, readers should unsubscribe by 
sending 
 the words "unsubscribe hammond" in a mail message to majordomo@zk3.dec.com and 
NOT to the list as a whole.
        
        MANY people who unsubscribe do it correctly by using the above method.  
When I see the unsubscribe messages incorrectly sent to the hammond list as a 
whoile I do unsubscribe the senders by hand, but it's easier all around if 
people just do it the right way.  Also, people who just send an unsubscribe 
request to the list continue to recieve list mail until I see their request and 
get around to unsubscribing them.
        
        By the way, for people wondering, list membership is not declining.  It 
seems to have stabilized lately around 375, but does expand and shrink with the 
season.  When school starts in the fall and after summer vacations, the list 
membership will probably start growing again.
