>Sound's like you got a super deal. I just purchased an A-100 ALONE for
about twice what you
paid but I still think that it was a good deal given the condition it was
in. If I could only find a Leslie 122 or equivalent for the same price as
the A-100, I would be one happy camper.
5 years ago, I donated a leslie 122 to our church to be traded in or
sold with a Hammond C-3 for a down payment on an Allen ADC 2060. The Allen
organ dealer in Williamsport Pa.
would only give us $200.00 for the Hammond and Leslie! I told the pastor of
our church that that was a lowball figure and he should advertise in the
paper and hold on for a higher price. He did, the first person to answer the
add offered $300.00 for the combo with organ blanket and 2 pairs of 6550
output tubes, an offer which our pastor accepted. In his rush to purchase
the Allen, they literally gave the Hammond Leslie combination away.
Although I enjoy the Allen organ for classical music, There is Just
nothing that works as well as the Hammond Leslie combination for gospel
music and praise choruses that are an essential part of our service. If
anyone knows of an available Leslie in the Central Pa. area could you let me
know so we can get the Hammond-Leslie sound back in church.

Thanks.
Rick
